Northwest to north winds will continue today into Tuesday night and transition to northeast on Wednesday morning into Thursday morning. These winds will be accompanied by a warming and drying trend, especially across wind prone areas. Today into Tuesday night, northwest to north winds with gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected over the Ventura County mountains, the I-5 Corridor, and Southern Santa Barbara County (strongest western portions). Humidities of 10 to 25 percent is expected across the interior, with the drier areas expanding Tuesday across the interior lowering to 8 to 20 percent. Wednesday morning into Thursday morning, winds will transition to northeast with gusts of 25 to 45 mph across mountains to coasts of eastern Ventura County and western Los Angeles County. Continued warming and drying is expected as the wind shifts to northeast with driest conditions of 8-15 percent across the typical Santa Ana wind prone locations.
