The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Moore County in central North Carolina...
  Northeastern Montgomery County in central North Carolina...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 430 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Biscoe, or
  near Troy, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 415 pm the public reported golf ball
           sized hail near Troy.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Southern Pines, Troy, Carthage, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Biscoe,
  Whispering Pines, Foxfire, Star, and Candor.
