.DISCUSSION...
A weak cold front just north of the region will continue to slowly
seep southward into our northern fire districts throughout today.
Southerly winds will prevail south of the front across East Texas
and North Louisiana while light and variable are expected farther
north closer to the frontal boundary. Spotty showers and isolated
thunderstorms will be possible along and south of the cold front,
especially with additional heating this afternoon. Even where rain
doesn`t occur, clouds will persist throughout much of the day with
possibly a few breaks late in the afternoon. Regardless, afternoon
high temperatures will still range from the mid and upper 70s to
lower 80s. Minimum RH values will likely remain above 50 percent
as Gulf moisture continues to feed northward ahead of the front.
With the front expected to stall near the I-20 corridor, expect
some patchy fog overnight through Thursday morning along with a
few lingering showers or thunderstorms along and north of I-20.
