377 FZUS54 KLCH 090903 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 403 AM CDT Thu May 9 2024 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-092145- 403 AM CDT Thu May 9 2024 .SYNOPSIS... A light to moderate onshore flow and seas with seas 2 to 3 feet will prevail today. Areas of dense fog may reduce visibilities below one mile through the early morning with visibilities gradually improving through the day. A cold front will push through the coastal waters Thursday night accompanied by isolated showers and thunderstorms. Offshore flow will develop behind the front Friday and Saturday. Onshore flow becomes reestablished Sunday as high pressure slides east of the area.
