.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Winds and relative humidity values will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon and evening along and north of a line from Columbus to
Macon. Any strong to severe storms could produce hail, gusty to
damaging winds, and heavy rainfall. Outside of thunderstorms,
20-foot winds will be westerly at 5-10 mph with slightly stronger
transport winds. Minimum relative humidity will generally range
from 40% to 60%.
Another round of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms
are expected tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and evening across much
of north and central Georgia. Like today, any strong to severe
storms are possible (although mainly along and south of a line
from Columbus to Macon) with hail, gusty to damaging winds, and
heavy rainfall. Outside of thunderstorms, 20-foot winds and
transport winds will be westerly to northwesterly at 5-10 mph and
10-20 mph, respectively. Minimum relative humidity will range from
40% to 55%.
