...Multiple Rounds of Rain Through Sunday Threaten Renewed
Flooding Over the Weekend and Into Next Week...

A stalled out frontal boundary in our vicinity will bring several
rounds of showers through the weekend, with heavy rainfall
possible. The cumulative effect may eventually lead to flooding
concerns. At this point the greatest threat appears to be during
the weekend. All together, between 1 and 3 inches of rain can be
anticipated for eastern Kentucky through Sunday, with the highest
amounts most likely to be near and north of Interstate 64. This
rainfall may cause streams to rise to near bankfull or possibly

There remains uncertainty concerning the timing and track of the
rounds of rainfall. Keep updated on the excessive rainfall
potential through the weekend. Flood watches or warnings may need
to be issued at a later time.
