Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
350 PM EDT Tue Apr 24 2018

...Drying Out Wednesday and Thursday...

.DISCUSSION...A low pressure system is currently parked over the
southeast parts of the area and still bringing continued moisture
to eastern Kentucky today. Rain showers will be likely into the
evening, with accumulations of generally a quarter of an inch or
less. A few rumbles of thunder may also be possible during the
early evening hours. By tonight, the low pressure system will
begin to shift eastward and away from the area. While scattered
to likely showers will continue to impact eastern Kentucky
overnight, additional accumulations will be light or less than a
tenth of an inch. Rain chances will taper off from west to east
early Wednesday allowing the area to dry out as high pressure
starts to take hold across Kentucky through Thursday. Winds will
be predominately northwesterly and fairly light through this
evening and Wednesday.
