.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 155 PM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024
An extensive period of dry and quiet weather continues as high
pressure is dominant over the forecast area. Some moisture aloft
has been enough to support scattered mid-level clouds, but it
hasn`t been enough to block out much of the sunshine. Well
offshore to the south, a couple of pop-up showers have been picked
up by radar, but nothing is expected to move across the island
chain. Easterly winds continue near 15 mph tonight, but taper off
during the overnight hours and come down to near 10 mph by
tomorrow. Daytime highs through the end of the week will range
from the low to mid 80s, and the following overnight lows sit in
the lower to mid 70s.
Previous forecast discussions have mentioned the low probability
for rainfall next week. As of now, guidance reflects a slight
chance of showers on Tuesday (20% chance) but this is likely to
change in the coming days as models try to reach an agreement with
respect to if, when, and where it will rain.

tomorrow. Light to moderate easterly breezes prevail through the

seas breezes veer southerly to southwesterly.
