...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS NEAR SNIPE POINT...

The areas affected include...
Gulf of Mexico from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal
out to 5 fathoms...
Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and
beyond 5 fathoms...
Hawk Channel from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal out
to the reef...

At 451 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located near Snipe Point, moving southeast at
15 knots.

Locations that will be affected include...
Snipe Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
