Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
257 PM CDT Sat May 26 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire weather conditions rest of today with afternoon
humidity dropping into the upper teens across portions of far
southwest NEB and the southeast Panhandle. However, the
combination of modest southerly breezes and fuel green up lowers
the overall concern.

Hot and dry conditions continue tomorrow with highs largely in
the upper 80s to lower 90s. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms
late tomorrow across the eastern Panhandle and far western NEB.
While cooler highs prevail Monday and more widely Tuesday, highs
will still be above seasonable values. Thunderstorms likely
Monday-Monday night. Of which, heavy rain possible Monday night.
Thunderstorm chances shift eastward Tuesday with the best chances
across north central NEB.
