...March temperatures were above normal for North Platte and
Valentine, while precipitation was above normal at Valentine and
below normal for North Platte...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature for the month
of March was 39.5 degrees and was 1.5 degrees above the normal of
38.0 degrees. The average daily high temperature for the month
was 54.8 degrees which was 2.3 degrees above the normal of 52.5
degrees. The average daily low temperature was 24.3 degrees which
was 0.8 degrees above the normal of 23.5 degrees. No daily
temperature records were set during the month of March in North
Platte.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature for the month of
March was 36.4 degrees which was 0.2 degrees above the normal of
36.2 degrees. The average daily high temperature for March was
48.3 degrees which was 1.0 degrees below the normal of 49.3
degrees. The average daily low temperature for the month
was 24.6 degrees which was 1.5 degrees above the normal of 23.1
degrees. No daily temperature records were set during the month
of March for Valentine.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for March totaled
0.71 inches which was 0.34 inches below the normal of 1.05
inches. No daily precipitation records were set during the month
of March for North Platte. Snowfall for the month totaled 3.1 inches
which was 1.3 inches below the normal of 4.4 inches. No daily snowfall
records were set during the month of March for North Platte.

At Miller field in Valentine, precipitation for March totaled 1.54
inches which was 0.47 inches above the normal of 1.07 inches. one daily
precipitation record was set during the month of March for Valentine.
On the 16th, 0.75 inches of precipitation fell at Miller Field, breaking
the record of 0.67 inches set previously in 1946. Snowfall for March
9.7 inches. This was 3.2 inches above the normal of 6.5 inches.
No daily snowfall records were set during the month of March for Valentine.
