...Discussion from Monterey...

Gentle to moderate southwesterly to westerly winds become
northwesterly to northerly heading into Friday through the weekend.
Gustier winds are expected starting Friday afternoon as a low
pressure system and its associated cold front move inland. Gusts
look to stay within the 25 to 30 mph range with isolated stronger
gusts possible in elevated terrain. With this cold frontal passage,
light drizzle is possible throughout the Bay Area associated but
accumulations are not expected to meet the wetting rain threshold.
Cooler, below average temperatures continue through Friday with
drier, warmer conditions expected by mid to late weekend.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

A deep marine layer pattern has settled in and will persist through
at least Friday. Moist and cool conditions will continue on the
coastal side of the mountains, with patchy drizzle possible over
southeast Los Angeles County Thursday morning. Dry air will remain
over the higher mountains, but will be less dry and expansive than
earlier this week. Southwest wind gusts to 20 to 40 mph will form
each afternoon and evening through Thursday over the coasts,
mountains, and interior valleys, with gusts up to 50 mph over the
Antelope Valley foothills.

A weak low pressure system will push through the western United
States Thursday into Friday, which may enhance the drizzle into
actual showers, though remain very light. This will increase
northwest to north flow over the region, with gusts of 30 to 50 mph,
strongest over the mountains, Antelope Valley, Santa Barbara
County, and the coastal Areas. These winds will weaken some over
the weekend but the flow pattern will remain with gusts lowering
into the 20 to 35 mph range. Minimum humidities in the valleys and
mountains will lower to 20 to 40 percent over the weekend.
Otherwise, elevated humidities above 40 percent are expected.
