...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central
Collier and northern Mainland Monroe Counties through 615 PM EDT...

At 541 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout over
Carnestown, or near Everglades City, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
         could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
         objects.

Locations impacted include...
Chokoloskee, Everglades City, Plantation Island, Carnestown,
Copeland, Big Cypress National Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand State
Preserve, Jerome, and Port Of The Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This activity was also developing in an environment favorable for the
formation of funnel clouds. Stay tuned to NOAA weather radio and
local media for additional updates and possible warnings.

Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce tornadoes or
waterspouts. Move indoors and stay away from windows.
