Patchy dense fog will continue to be possible through early this morning, especially across Volusia County and along the Treasure Coast towards Lake Okeechobee. Visibility could drop to as low as one half mile and may be exacerbated by nearby smoke from wildfires and controlled burns. Be alert for rapidly changing visibilities on area roadways through early this morning, and slow down if encountering dense fog or smoke. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... A Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents continues at all central Florida Atlantic beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone. .FIRE WEATHER IMPACT... Lingering dry air will continue to produce lower humidity values across the region this afternoon, mainly across the far interior. This combined with ongoing drier than normal conditions will produce a Moderate to High fire weather danger across the area. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. Isolated lightning storms are possible beginning Monday before coverage increases to scattered on Tuesday and Wednesday as a weather system moves just north of the area. The environment will become unstable, and sufficient wind energy will exist to pose a risk for a few strong to severe storms this week. Temperatures will continue to run above normal, particularly on Tuesday and again late in the week. Heat index readings will peak at 100 to 105 most afternoons from Tuesday through the end of the week, especially from near Orlando and points south. Plan to take extra steps to avoid heat stress. Boating conditions will become poor to hazardous on Tuesday and Wednesday as winds increase over the local Atlantic. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight. $$ Weitlich/Heil
