404 FXUS63 KPAH 272337 AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Paducah KY 637 PM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - The next best chance for storms comes Sunday night through Monday, when our next system makes its approach and passage. - Heavy rainfall averaging 1 to 2 inches may heighten the risk for localized flooding. - South winds will have gust potential 25-35 mph Sunday. && .UPDATE... Issued at 637 PM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 Updated aviation section for 00z TAF issuance. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 115 PM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 Another low pressure system takes shape in the Plains and lifts into the Great Lakes late this weekend. It will drive its cold front into (Sunday night) and thru (Monday) the FA, bringing showers/storms with it. The likeliest expectation is for locally heavy rainfall producing 1-2 inch totals on average. Some localized flooding potential exists, esp over portions of SEMO, where the best rains fell earlier today. WPC has a SLGT Risk of exceeding FFG there. Strong storm potential cannot be ruled out, but generally looks to stay closer to the track of the low, or west of our area. Generally zonal westerlies steer the sensible weather forecast the remainder of the coming week. This means a continuation of our seasonal warmth, along with a continuation of an almost daily on and off period of rain chances. Highs from the mid 70s to lower 80s and lows from the mid 50s to lower 60s will be most commonplace. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z MONDAY/...
