...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau and Thebes

.River levels are peaking along the Mississippi River this weekend
and will fall below flood stage next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Thebes.

* WHEN...Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, The town of Gale begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 33.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will hold steady around 33.1 feet today
    and then gradually begin to fall. It will then go below flood
    stage early Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, The flood gate on Themis Street closes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 34.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will hold steady around 34.2 feet today
    and then gradually begin to fall. It will go below flood
    stage Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
