Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
504 PM MDT Thu May 9 2024

.Discussion...

An overall wet and cool pattern is expected the first half of
this forecast period as a trough of low pressure lingers over
the region into early next week. Some locally heavy precipitation
is likely tonight over the greater southern mountain region,
where locally heavy snow is anticipated. Many areas of the
district will see wetting precipitation tonight, with the only
areas that will remain dry will be the far eastern plains.

For Saturday into early next week, scattered to numerous showers
are anticipated over the entire district. Temperatures will remain
cooler than normal through this period. During the mid week time
period temperatures will warm up with scattered afternoon and
evening showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Smoke dispersion will be fair tomorrow afternoon and fair to good
on Saturday afternoon.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
