...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
  following county, Wayne.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 856 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms is moving east out of Wayne County. Some
    additional moderate rainfall is expected. Minor flooding may
    be ongoing in the advisory area due to runoff from earlier
    heavy rainfall.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Walnut Creek, Eureka, Seven Springs,
    Elroy, Cliffs Of The Neuse State Park, Brogden and Mar-Mac.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while driving to avoid hydroplaning. Be
aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Turn
around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Be especially
cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of
flooding.
