Onshore flow is forecast to increase later today as southerly swell with a 6 second period nears the coast this afternoon. Surf heights are forecast to increase to around 2 feet for most of the area beaches by the afternoon. Similar conditions are expected again Sunday into at least Monday. As a result, a High Risk of Rip Currents was issued for area beaches through the weekend.
