...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM FRIDAY TO 6 PM MDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 6500 feet. Total snow
  accumulations up to 3 inches below 6500 feet, with over 12 inches
  possible above 6500 feet.

* WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial
  Mountains and Northwest Beaverhead County.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Friday to 6 PM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible and tire
  chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry
  should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may
  want to consider alternate plans.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 8 inches,
  with up to 12 inches possible above pass level.

* WHERE...Ruby Mountains and Southern Beaverhead Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Friday to 6 PM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be difficult and tire chains may be required
  for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they are
  prepared for dangerous conditions.
