Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
341 AM MDT Thu May 24 2018

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...High pressure ridge aloft over
the Great Basin will build into Colorado through tonight. Drier
conditions expected today with only a slight chance of a late day
shower or storm over higher mountains and elevated terrain of the
Palmer Divide. Temperatures will only be slightly warmer today.
Skies will become mostly clear tonight.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...Warm conditions
combined with dry SW flow will persist through Saturday where
temperatures are expected to reach into the low 90s. Mostly dry
conditions, combined with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees warmer
than normal and low humidity values will help to elevate fire
weather conditions across more dry areas. However, during this
time winds are not expected to reach threshold values for those
counties that did not see as much green up as others such as Park
in zone 214.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
