Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
508 AM CDT Mon Apr 23 2018

.DISCUSSION...

A slow moving storm system centered south of Illinois will bring
periodic showers to east central and southeast Illinois today,
with a few lingering into Tuesday. Areas west of the Illinois
River should stay dry. East-northeast winds 10-15 mph with gusts
to around 20 mph today will become more northerly and diminish
slightly on Tuesday as this system starts to exit the region.
Ventilation rates will be good west of the Illinois River today,
and generally poor to fair to the east. On Tuesday, ventilation
rates will improve in many areas east of the Illinois River as
mixing heights improve to the east.
