Light and variable winds today with surface high pressure
centered directly over the central Great Lakes. Wind directions
will organize light southwesterly today, switching easterly by
tonight. There is uncertainty with how wind directions will evolve
over far western Oakland County during the late afternoon and
early evening hours. A lake breeze will push off of Lake Erie
which could result in an abrupt shift of wind directions due
southerly or even south southeasterly by 8 PM EDT. For Oakland
County, minimum RH will fall into the upper 20 percent range
between 2 PM and 6 PM EDT today.
