The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...

  Currituck Sound...
  Coastal Waters from the NC/VA Border to Currituck Beach Light NC
out 20 NM...
  Waters from the NC/VA Border to Currituck Beach Light NC 20 to 40
NM...

* Until 1045 PM EDT

* At 920 PM EDT, a gust front out ahead of a line of strong
  thunderstorms was located along a line extending from near 10 Nm
  East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront to 25 nm south of Monitor
  Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving southeast at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  South Tower, Currituck Beach Light, Knotts Island Bay, Currituck
  Beach, Currituck Sound and Kill Devil Hills.
