...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT SUNDAY
NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  8 inches. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph producing blowing and
  drifting snow.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southeast Montana.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Sunday Night.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/2 mile at times. Areas of
  fog and light freezing drizzle or freezing rain are expected,
  before snow intensifies late tonight. SLick and snow covered roads
  combined with gusty winds and poor visibility will make travel
  very difficult at times tonight through the day Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snowfall is expected to begin after
  midnight tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest road conditions, call 5 1 1.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Carter, Custer, Fallon, and Northern Rosebud.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Sunday Night.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of light freezing rain or freezing
  drizzle and fog are possible before snow intensifies toward
  sunrise. The heaviest snow is expected to begin after 3 am tonight
  for Rosebud county, and after sunrise for Fallon and Carter
  counties.

MIDNIGHT MDT SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...A wintry mix tonight, turning to snow by sunrise. Total
  snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high
  as 45 mph producing areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Sheridan Foothills.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight MDT Sunday Night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds, snow, blowing snow, and slick roads will
  make travel very difficult from late tonight through the day
  Sunday. This includes I-90 through Sheridan county.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest road conditions, call 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slick roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

  inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph creating significant
  blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...In Montana, Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains. In Wyoming,
  Northeast Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight MDT Sunday Night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult on US-14 tonight through
  Sunday. Back country activities could be difficult to dangerous
  due to the snow, strong wind gusts, and blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be sure to let someone know your plans before
  heading into the back country in case you become stranded.
