Please contact our office at (904) 741-4370 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION...Multiple waves of storms are expected between this afternoon and Tuesday, with a variable threat of severe storms with each batch of storms. There will be increasing chances for thunderstorms this afternoon and a Marginal (low-end) threat of severe storms exists. However, the ingredients available suggest one or two strong storms are possible through the evening with the primary threat being sporadic and localized gusty winds, around 30-50 mph. Rain and thunderstorm activity is anticipated through much of the evening hours but the severe threat will diminish after 8 PM with rain/storms tailing off around midnight The next round of storms will occur Tuesday and confidence in the severity is rather low. However, the threat of severe storms including the risk of considerable straight line winds 50-70 mph, hail and isolated tornadoes are possible with tomorrow`s activity as it pushes through. For Duval county the risk of severe storms appears to be during the hours of 8am and 11am. Following the morning bout of weather, trailing showers and storms are possible but the severe threat will be much lower through the afternoon. .REST OF TODAY...
