FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.5 inches will drift across the area tonight
through Friday, bringing light winds.

A major storm system will then organize and hit the Great Lakes
this weekend. Strong low pressure of 29.4 inches will move from
Kansas Saturday afternoon to northern Lake Michigan by early
Sunday morning, deepening to 29.0 inches. Strong winds will
develop very quickly later Saturday afternoon and evening,
remaining strong through Sunday night. Southeast to south gales
are likely late Saturday night, remaining at gale force levels as
they veer southwest to west on Sunday and northwest Sunday night.
There is a risk for storm force wind gusts Sunday. Winds will
diminish by Monday.

High pressure will likely return by early next week, bringing
lighter wind and wave conditions into the middle part of next
week.

rain in the morning, then chance of rain, snow and light freezing
rain in the afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...East winds to 30 kt becoming southeast gales to
35 kt. Rain and freezing rain. Waves 1 to 3 ft building to 4 to
6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.SUNDAY...West storm force winds to 50 kt. Rain, snow with a
chance of light freezing rain in the morning, then chance of snow
and rain in the afternoon. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft
building to 8 to 12 ft occasionally to 16 ft.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Northwest storm force winds to 50 kt diminishing
to gales to 40 kt. Heavy freezing spray. Chance of snow. Waves
