OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
248 AM CST Sun Dec 9 2018

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure around 30.6 inches extending from northwest Illinois
to western Pennsylvania will slowly weaken over the region through
tonight and shift southward for early next week. Meanwhile, low
pressure of 29.8 inches will move across southern Hudson Bay and
James Bay and weaken as it moves across southern Quebec, Canada
today. This will produce breezy westerly winds over northern Lake
Michigan this morning. Modest westerly winds will then prevail
for Monday and Tuesday over all of Lake Michigan.

By the middle of the week, high pressure of 30.4 inches moves
into the southeastern part of the country, and low pressure of
29.6 inches begins to form over the southern Rocky Mountains.
Winds should shift to the south and strengthen on Wednesday across
Lake Michigan.
