FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Gusty northwest to north winds in the wake of a cold front will
continue to reach gale force across the north half through the
early morning hours. High pressure of 30.4 inches will slide into
the Upper Great Lakes today, bringing diminishing winds to Lake
Michigan this afternoon into the evening.

A low pressure trough around 29.9 inches extending from the
Plains will cross the Great lakes Thursday. Another low pressure
system of 29.5 inches will cross the Southern Plains over the
weekend and will likely bring a return of gusty winds to Lake
Michigan. We may see gale force northerly winds again Saturday
night.

this morning, then diminishing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon.
Freezing spray. Chance of snow showers this morning, then slight
chance of snow showers this afternoon. Waves 5 to 8 ft
occasionally to 10 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.TONIGHT...North winds 10 to 15 kt backing to south. Slight
chance of snow showers. Waves 1 to 3 ft subsiding to 1 to 2 ft.
.THURSDAY...South winds 10 to 15 kt becoming west. Waves 1 to
3 ft.
