FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Low pressure of 29.5 inches over the Northern Plains will lift
into western Lake Superior by late evening, dropping to 29.3
inches. The low will track across the Upper Great Lakes tonight
while dragging a strong cold front across the lake. High pressure
of 30.3 inches will spread across the Upper Mississippi Valley and
Great Lakes Region through Saturday.

.TONIGHT...Southeast winds to 30 kt becoming south gales to
40 kt, then becoming southwest late. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms. Waves 2 to 4 ft occasionally to 8 ft building to
8 to 12 ft occasionally to 16 ft.
.FRIDAY...Southwest gales to 40 kt becoming northwest gales to
35 kt. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves 8 to
12 ft occasionally to 16 ft subsiding to 7 to 10 ft occasionally
to 14 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to 25 kt
late in the evening, then diminishing to 10 to 20 kt after
midnight becoming northeast late. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to
12 ft subsiding to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.SATURDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 kt veering to southwest 10 to
20 kt in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt becoming northwest.

midnight becoming northeast late. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to
