FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

A cold front will move across Lake Michigan into this evening,
then southeast of the lake later tonight, as low pressure of 29.8
inches moves from northeast Wisconsin to northwest Ohio.

South to southwest winds ahead of the front will veer northwest
to north behind it.

Another cold front will move southeast through the region later
Thursday into Thursday night. Gusty north to northwest winds are
expected behind the frontal passage Thursday night into Friday,
with some gales possible during this period.

High pressure of 30.4 inches will then move from the northern
Plains into the western Great Lakes region Friday into Saturday,
bringing weaker winds by Saturday.

.TONIGHT...South winds 10 to 20 kt backing to east 5 to 10 kt
late this evening, then becoming northeast after midnight
becoming north 10 to 20 kt late. Scattered rain showers and
slight chance of snow showers this evening, then slight chance of
snow showers with isolated rain showers overnight. Waves 3 to
5 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.THURSDAY...North winds 10 to 20 kt backing to southwest. Slight
chance of snow showers with isolated rain showers in the
afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 10 to 20 kt becoming northwest 15 to
25 kt late in the evening, then increasing to 30 kt after
midnight increasing to gales to 35 kt late. Waves 3 to 5 ft
building to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.FRIDAY...North gales to 35 kt diminishing to 30 kt. Waves 8 to
11 ft occasionally to 14 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to 25 kt.
Waves 5 to 8 ft occasionally to 10 ft subsiding to 4 to 6 ft
occasionally to 8 ft.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt becoming southwest 15 to
25 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 2 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft.
.SUNDAY...West winds 10 to 20 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft.
.MONDAY...Northeast winds to 30 kt becoming north. Waves 5 to
8 ft occasionally to 10 ft subsiding to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to

.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 10 to 20 kt becoming northwest 15 to
25 kt, then increasing to 30 kt late. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to
4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.FRIDAY...North gales to 35 kt. Waves 8 to 11 ft occasionally to
14 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to 25 kt.
