FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.2 inches will pass well to the south of the
region tonight. Gusty west to northwest winds will gradually
subside this evening, with light winds later tonight.

Low pressure of 29.5 inches will strengthen to 29.2 inches as it
moves from southwest Iowa to northeast Ontario Thursday and
Thursday night. A strong cold front will sweep across the lake
late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening.

Winds will again be gusty from the west and northwest behind this
front, with some gale force gusts possible Thursday night over
the south half of the lake. A Gale Watch is in effect for this
part of the lake Thursday night. Freezing spray will also be a
concern Thursday night and Friday, as colder air builds into the
area.

occasionally to 8 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.THURSDAY...Southeast winds 15 to 25 kt becoming south. Chance of
snow showers, rain showers and slight chance of light freezing
rain in the morning, then snow showers with possible rain showers
and freezing rain likely in the afternoon. Waves 4 to 7 ft
occasionally to 9 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt becoming northwest
to 30 kt from late evening on. Snow showers with rain showers
likely in the evening, then chance of snow showers overnight.
Freezing spray overnight. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft
building to 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.

likely. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds to 30 kt becoming north 10 to
