FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.1 inches centered over Tennessee early this
morning will move to the Carolinas by this evening as a broad area
of low pressure approaches from the west. South to southwest winds
will be gusty today between the departing high and approaching
low.

A brief period of lighter winds Friday night into Saturday morning
will be followed by gusty northerly winds arriving north to
south during the day Saturday, as high pressure of 29.9 inches
moves southward over lake Superior.

.TODAY...Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt becoming south to 30 kt with
a few gusts to 35 knots possible toward shores. Chance of showers
this morning, then showers this afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 ft
building to 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.
.TONIGHT...Southwest winds to 30 kt becoming west 15 to 25 kt.
Showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then
showers likely overnight. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft
subsiding to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt becoming north. Chance of
rain showers. Waves 3 to 5 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Northeast winds 10 to 20 kt diminishing to
10 to 15 kt. Chance of rain showers overnight. Waves 2 to 4 ft.
.SUNDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 15 kt. Chance of rain showers in
the morning. Waves 1 to 3 ft.
