FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

A broad area of low pressure of 29.9 inches over eastern Wisconsin
and Illinois will continue to deepen to 29.7 inches over northern
Indiana this evening. The low will further strengthen to 29.6
inches as it reaches southern Ontario early Thursday afternoon.
Northerly winds will pick up behind the low tonight and continue
to strengthen into Thursday. Northerly gales are expected across
the southern half of the lake. These winds will build high waves
in the south.

Winds will ease later Thursday into Thursday night as high pressure
passes by to the south. Southerly winds will then pick back up later
Friday into Friday night ahead of another approaching low.

Isolated showers in the morning. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to
9 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt becoming west.
Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft.
.FRIDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt increasing to gales to
35 kt in the afternoon. Chance of showers. Waves 2 to 4 ft
building to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to
25 kt. Showers likely. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt becoming south 10 to
20 kt. Showers likely. Waves 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Southeast winds 10 to 20 kt becoming northeast
10 to 15 kt. Chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves 2 to 4 ft

showers in the morning, then isolated showers in the afternoon.
Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to 6 to 9 ft
occasionally to 12 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 25 kt becoming west 10 to
