FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Low pressure of 29.4 inches over Minnesota will lift into northwestern
Lake Superior by late evening, deepening to 29.2 inches. The low
will track across the Upper Great Lakes tonight while dragging a
strong cold front across the lake. High pressure of 30.3 inches
will spread across the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes
Region through Saturday.

On Sunday, an additional area of high pressure of 30.4 inches
over Ontario will move into Quebec, while low pressure of 29.5
inches develops over the northern Plains.

.REST OF TONIGHT...Southeast winds to 30 kt becoming southwest
gales to 35 kt. Chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening,
then chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms
overnight. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to 8 to 12 ft occasionally to
16 ft.
.FRIDAY...Southwest gales to 40 kt veering to northwest. Slight
chance of showers. Waves 8 to 12 ft occasionally to 16 ft
subsiding to 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North gales to 35 kt diminishing to 30 kt late in
the evening, then diminishing to 10 to 20 kt after midnight
becoming northeast late. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft
subsiding to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.SATURDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 kt veering to southwest
10 to 20 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft.
.SUNDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 15 kt becoming east 10 to 20 kt.
Waves 1 to 3 ft.

.FRIDAY...Southwest wind to 30 kt becoming northwest. A few gale
gusts to 35 kt. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to 25 kt
late in the evening, then becoming northeast 10 to 20 kt
overnight. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to
4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY...East winds 10 to 20 kt becoming southeast 5 to 10 kt.
Waves 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
