OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
835 PM CST Thu Feb 14 2019

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Broad low pressure of 29.4 inches over northern Lake Michigan
this evening will further deepen as it moves into northern lower
Michigan and southern Ontario on Friday. A strong cold front
attached to the low will sweep across Lake Michigan through
midnight with northwest gales developing behind the front. Heavy
freezing spray will also be a concern, as temperatures rapidly
fall into the teens.

Winds will remain breezy on Friday as high pressure of 30.4 inches
begins to nose into the area from the Dakotas. Low pressure of
29.7 inches will develop over Missouri on Sunday, causing winds to
become easterly across the lake.
