FOR NORTHERN PORTER COUNTY...
At 300 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Portage, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Public. Quarter size hail was reported in Hobart.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Portage, Valparaiso, Chesterton, South Haven, Porter, Burns Harbor,
Ogden Dunes, Town of Pines, Beverly Shores, Wheeler, and Dune Acres.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
