...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Very steep and hazardous seas 15 to 20 ft at 15 seconds.
  Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt increasing to
  20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt on Thursday.

* WHERE...Outer Coastal Waters from Cape Shoalwater to Florence
  10 to 60 NM offshore.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
  damage to vessels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect a period of lower seas this
  afternoon of around 10 to 12 feet at 14 seconds, before seas
  begin to build again tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port
until hazardous seas subside.

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, Rough bar conditions
  expected. General seas 9 to 11 ft. For the Hazardous Seas
  Watch, very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 16 ft at 13 seconds
  and south winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt possible.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Small Craft Advisory, until 5 AM PDT Thursday.
  Hazardous Seas Watch, from late tonight through late Thursday
  night.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
  damage to vessels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 3.9 kt at 649 PM Wednesday.
  Seas 9 to 10 ft. Ebb current of 5.24 kt at 702 AM Thursday. Seas
  11 to 15 ft. Ebb current of 3.5 kt at 719 PM Thursday. Seas 12
  to 16 ft.
