for the San Luis Valley...

...A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday for
portions of south central and southeast Colorado...

.Discussion...

Increasing southwest flow across the district today will bring
Critical Fire Weather conditions to the San Luis Valley this
afternoon. Rain and snow showers will spread into the Continental
Divide by this evening, while dry and windy conditions overspread
the remainder of southern Colorado through Wednesday. Critical
fire weather conditions will be likely again for Monday through
Wednesday for the San Luis Valley and southern portions of the
southeast plains where fuels are critical. A cooler and wetter
pattern will be possible for late week into next weekend.

Afternoon smoke dispersion is expected to very good to excellent
across the district both today and Monday.
