At 342 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly east of a
line from Bartlesville to McAlester. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Wagoner, Cherokee and Mayes counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith and Bentonville,
Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the east at around 30
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was around one
tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and a half
inches. Coverage, and intensity increased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy,
occasional showers and a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures
59 to 62 degrees and southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
