THE JUNE THROUGH AUGUST SUMMER SEASON WAS SLIGHTLY WARMER AND WETTER
THAN NORMAL AT GRAND FORKS NWS/UNIVERSITY. THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION
OF 10.85 INCHES WAS 0.80 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL FOR THE THREE MONTH
PERIOD. THIS WAS DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS AS THE GRAND FORKS
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RECORDED AT BELOW NORMAL 7.83 INCHES FOR THIS
SAME PERIOD. SO RAIN ACCUMULATION VARIED ACROSS THE GREATER GRAND
FORKS AREA. THE MEAN TEMPERATURE OF 68.3 WAS 0.5 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL AND WAS DRIVEN BY ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES IN JUNE AND JULY
RATHER THAN THE BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES OF AUGUST.

NO RECORDS WERE SET IN THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST AT GRAND
FORKS NWS/UNIVERSITY.

REMEMBER... THIS DATA IS PROVISIONAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE
FINAL AND OFFICIAL RECORDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE NATIONAL
CENTERS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION ( FORMERLY THE NATIONAL
CLIMATE DATA CENTER).
