...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION TODAY WITH
LIGHT WINDS. ANOTHER DISTURBANCE IS EXPECTED SUNDAY BRINGING
INCREASED SOUTHWEST WINDS ACROSS THE MOJAVE DESERT AND SCATTERED
STORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL NV, THE SIERRA, AND
NORTHERN MOHAVE COUNTY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. WITH ANY OF THE
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY, EXPECT GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS. WITH NEAR-
CRITICAL FUELS, GUSTY WINDS, AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES, THERE WILL
BE AN ELEVATED FIRE RISK SUNDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS THE LOWER DESERTS.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE ALOFT AND ONSHORE FLOW WILL MAINTAIN
A MODERATELY DEEP MARINE LAYER, SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE
TEMPERATURES, AND HIGHER HUMIDITY WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS INTO EARLY
NEXT WEEK. SEASONALLY GUSTY WESTERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE
MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS WITH PEAK GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH THROUGH THE
PASSES AND ON THE DESERT SLOPES. BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK, THE
MARINE LAYER WILL THIN BACK TOWARD THE COAST AND IT WILL BE WARMER
FAR INLAND.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

LINGERING FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON WITH GUSTY WESTERLY WINDS UP TO 23 MPH AND DRY
CONDITIONS. STRONGER GUSTS OF 30-35 MPH ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
IMPERIAL COUNTY IN SE CA. GENERALLY COOLER, BUT SEASONABLY HOT AND
DRY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE PERIOD. BREEZY SOUTHWESTERLY
WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. MIN RH VALUES SHOULD
RANGE FROM 8-13 PERCENT FOR THE LOWER DESERTS. EXPECT FAIR
OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE IMPERIAL VALLEY, THE
YUMA AREA AND HILLTOP WHERE THEY WILL BE GOOD.
NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND IN
THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
