Strong northeast winds and building waves will likely lead to a high risk of rip currents Sunday afternoon and evening for Twin Ports beaches. Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected next week. Some of these storms may become strong to severe on Monday afternoon into evening and on Wednesday. Hot weather next week brings at least Moderate and possibly Major Heat Risk Impacts to the Northland. Heat headlines may be needed on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect from Taconite Harbor to Grand Portage, and dense fog may spread into the Twin Ports and Bayfield Peninsula later tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Hazardous conditions for small craft are possible in the southwest arm, Outer Apostles, and portions of the North Shore on Sunday afternoon and evening due to gusty northeast winds and waves building to 2 to 4 feet.
