northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia and west central Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Dangerous heat and humidity is expected Thursday and Friday for the
Piedmont of Virginia and North Carolina, along with urban areas
including Roanoke. Heat index values may reach the low triple
digits.

southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

There is a slight risk of excessive rainfall today which could lead
to flash flooding. Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening may
contain torrential downpours which may result in flooding of small
streams or poor drainage areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.
