...Weekly NWR Test Moved to Thursday August 8th...

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination
with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a
national test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday,
August 7, 2019, at 120 PM CDT. The test will assess the system`s
readiness to distribute an emergency message nationwide. The test
message will clearly state that the alert is only a test of the
EAS. In the event that widespread severe weather or another
significant event occurs on August 7, 2019, the test will be
postponed to Wednesday August 21, 2019, at 120 PM CDT. NWS will
not convey any national test message across NOAA Weather Radio All
Hazards or any other NWS dissemination systems.

In order to avoid any confusion, the Texas Association of
Broadcasters and the Texas Division of Emergency Management have
requested we delay our normally scheduled Wednesday August 7 NOAA
Weather Radio Weekly Test. As a result, the Radio Weekly Test
(RWT) will occur on Thursday August 8.
