Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
140 PM CDT Thu May 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A complex of showers and storms is expected to move through the
area this afternoon and evening, with the potential for some
storms to produce strong wind gusts and large hail. Heavy
rainfall as a result of these thunderstorms will also present
a significant flash flood threat across portions of SE TX,
particularly for areas NE of the Houston Metro. Storms will
move out of the area tonight, with some scattered storms
redeveloping tomorrow. Severe weather chances for tomorrow
will be lower. Clearer conditions arrive by Saturday,
with minimum RH values dropping back to the 50-60% range.
