Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
245 AM EDT Tue May 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Mostly cloudy skies this morning will start to clear up. But, the
old front which has pressed to the south of I-80 this morning will
return northward as a warm front later today and tonight. That
will create an increase in clouds from southwest to northeast.
Showers and thunderstorms will pop up in the western part of the
state during the afternoon. The winds will turn from light and
variable to easterly to southerly through the day over most of the
state.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will pass across the state from
west to east tonight. Not everyone will get wet, but most will.
Rainfall may be an inch or more over the west.

Morning showers for the south and east on Wednesday will dry up as
high pressure and slightly drier air build in through the morning.
Afternoon/minimum RH will dip into the 35-50pct range on Wed.
