...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MARSHALL...SOUTH
CENTRAL JACKSON AND WEST CENTRAL DEKALB COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM
CDT...

At 614 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Geraldine, or 9 miles east of Guntersville, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Scottsboro, Guntersville, Rainsville, Sylvania, Fyffe, Hollywood,
Powell, Geraldine, Section, and Dutton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
