.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 311 AM EDT Mon Apr 22 2024

Upper level troughing extends southward through the Ohio River
Valley and lends support to an area of low pressure off the mid-
Atlantic states. The associated cold front extends southwestward
through the western Atlantic, across Florida and into the Gulf of
Mexico. Some isolated showers and storms will be possible in the
vicinity of this front overnight and into the early morning hours as
it moves southeastward across the state. This front will push south
and east of the area by this afternoon taking with it most of the
showers and storms. Upper level ridging and broad surface high
pressure builds in behind this front bringing in pleasant and
slightly cooler weather for the next couple of days. The high
pressure moves east of Florida by mid-week allowing for a warming
trend to set up over the state. Above average temperatures and rain-
free conditions expected from mid-week through the weekend.

Some MVFR CIGs and SHRA possible over the next few hours as a cold
front moves through the area. Clearing conditions expected by mid-
morning with VFR prevailing for the remainder of the period. Some
gusty NW winds will persist in the wake of the front through the
evening, then becoming northerly around 10 knots through the
remainder of the period.

.MARINE...
Issued at 311 AM EDT Mon Apr 22 2024

A cold front pushes through the eastern gulf waters with a chance of
showers and storms over the next few hours. High pressure builds in
behind this front by this evening and will dominate the weather with
rain-free conditions through the week. Some gusty winds will persist
through Tuesday morning, then decreasing less than 15 knots and seas
2 feet or less through the remainder of the week.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 311 AM EDT Mon Apr 22 2024

A chance of showers and storms will be possible over the next few
hours as a cold front pushes through the area. High pressure builds
in behind this front by Tuesday and will produce rain-free
conditions with drier air over the next few days. Some critical RH
values will persist starting Tuesday and continuing through the end
of the week, but lighter winds will preclude the need for any Red
Flag Warnings.
