Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
337 AM CDT Fri May 25 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms will increase in coverage beginning late this
morning as a weak boundary moves northward across northern
Alabama. Expecting mixing heights to rise close to 7000 feet which
will result in fair dispersion despite the light winds. More
widespread thunderstorms are expected on Saturday and Sunday as a
disturbance approaches from the west. This will act to reduce
mixing heights and lower dispersion to generally poor.

A tropical disturbance may begin to impact the region late on
Sunday night and continue to meander across the region through the
middle part of next week. This will bring multiple rounds of
showers and thunderstorms and the potential for flash flooding.
Given the very high humidity levels, fires will be slow to
spread, if at all. Meanwhile, fog formation will be possible each
night if cloud cover breaks.

Fog potential over the next few days: may occur each night over
the next several days if cloud cover clears enough for it to
develop.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
